What's New?

Blc. Haleahi Starlight
(= Blc. Golden Tang x B. nodosa)

Delicate honey with passion fruit seems to characterize the fragrance of Blc. Haleahi Starlight. Brassavola nodosa is noted for exuding fragrance during the night. In this particular cross much of the progeny provides a delightful fragrance during the day, but as night approaches the intensity seems to strengthen.

The plants are neat with their semi-terete foliage and grow easily in compact form. These hybrids do provide for some variation in terms of color intensity and amount of spotting. Blooms unfold in clusters, sometimes in larger proportion than the plant itself. In time we expect these plants will provide beautiful specimens with many new leads, resulting in a wonderful, showy profusion of blossoms.

You may want to move this particular orchid into the house when in bloom so you can enjoy it's enchanting and alluring fragrance through the night.
