Bc. Maikai x Blc. Golden Tang has created one of our favorites, Blc. Haleahi Sunbow. This orchid grows vigorously with shiny tuffs of semi-terete foliage and many new growths. Although many will bloom early with just a handful of blossoms, when mature, this orchid really puts on a show with many clusters of blossoms in a rainbow of sunny colors.

We have remade this hybrid a number of times at the request of orchid growers. The blossoms generally start with a pink-apricot tone with some red violet speckles, and then matures to a more golden yellow. This hybrid grows uniformly, but as it begins to bloom subtle variations can be seen in the coloration of the blossoms.

For the hobbyists, Blc. Haleahi Sunbow is a fast growing, easy-to-care orchid, with vibrant green foliage and clusters of blossoms in sun-drenched colors. This hybrid also can bloom many times per year, which also makes it one of our favorites for all seasons.
