Hknsa. Haleahi Buttons
(= Lctna. Tina x Sc. Lana Coryell)

A collection of genes from Cattleya, Laelia, Sophronitis and Broughtonia provides the characteristics of Hawkinsara Haleahi Buttons. This particular variety is a mini plant with golf ball size blossoms with highly variable color combinations and distribution of colors.

Whenever a Hawkinsara Haleahi Buttons is blooming we need to take a look to see what the blossoms look like. There simply doesn't seem be a general look for this cross. We have encountered many splash petal blossoms with a multitude of colors ranging from apricot to pale pink pearl with highlights of golden yellow to magenta red violet.

The wonderful part about this cross is the range of growing conditions its geneology accomodates. Since the plants are mini in stature, very little space is needed. Planted in 2 1/2" pots, these little orchid plants are well situated to bloom in this size.
